The Stratocruiser's first flight was on July 8, 1947. Its design was advanced for its day; its innovative features included two passenger decks and a pressurized cabin, a relatively new feature on transport aircraft. It could carry up to 100 passengers on the main deck plus 14 in the lower deck lounge; typical seating was for 63 or 84 passengers or 28 berthed and five seated passengers.BI433304 (HS707C_Model_377&_DC-3_on_Boeing_Field)Maximum size:2786px × 2122px (~16 MB)9.2in × 7.0in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:377 Stratocruiser-aircraft-Boeing-Boeing Field-C-97 Stratofreighter (Model 367)-commercial passenger planes-day-DC-3-design-first flights-flying-high-tech / advanced-large-lower deck-military-Oregon-passenger cabins-passengers and travelers-runways-transports-Washington StateRelated Photo/Videos:View AllRelated Virtual folders:Discover - Special Collections
